The Birthday!

Hard to believe our little one is already 1!  The night before his birthday the birthday fairy came and left some balloons and presents.
That morning we enjoyed some birthday pancakes.
But didn't like having his picture taken.
He also needed to taste his presents before opening them.
I think he was pleased with what the birthday fairy brought.
Later that night we had pizza for dinner and then cake and ice cream.
 He reached for the candle
which turned out to be a terrible idea.
Luckily the cake was good and made him forget all about it.
Yesterday we had a little owl party for him.  I showed Sophia a picture of a balloon owl I saw and asked if she'd make some.  She went completely above and beyond and I LOVED them!  I love all the different feather patterns on their bellies.  I know it's silly to take a picture of everyone but I seriously loved them.  There was also a baby owl but Lewis popped it (and then freaked).
He had his birthday ribbon on and was ready to party!
Thank goodness for pinterest to help me with some owl ideas!
I saw this banner on another blog and had fun creating it. Now I'm not sure what to do with it.  I can't just throw it away so I think it might hand in his room for awhile.
Cousin Andy was nice enough to help him blow out the candles.  We sure love that guy.
 Happy birthday little Lewis!!

Birthday Photo Shoot

My friend took some pictures of Lewis for his birthday.  He wasn't feeling super great (he'd been a little sick and I thought for sure he had an ear infection but he's just getting all 4 molars) so he wasn't having getting his picture taken.  She still got some pretty great ones though!
I think this one is my favorite.  And he's wearing Doug's tie from when he was a little boy so I love it!
She's so smart and had some smarties on hand for when he wasn't quite cooperating.  He was happy to oblige.

Kinder Grad!

Last Friday was Lilly's Kindergarten graduation. It was a super cute program.  They sang a lot of songs including this super cute "Fingerprints" song.  I hadn't heard it before but I loved it!
Here she is getting her award.  I texted this picture to Doug (he had to work) and said "It was a hard road and I didn't think she'd make it but she's here!" Of course I was kidding but I know the real graduation day will come to soon!
All graduated!
They also sang "What a Wonderful World" and some of the kids got to paint a picture to go with the song that they held up.  She got the "they're simply saying 'I love you'" part.  It was too cute.
Here she is on the first and last day.  I think she did some growing up this year!
Here she is with her awesome teacher Mrs. Pennington.  We were so lucky to have her this year.  She was the absolute best!! I was lucky enough to get to help in the class about once a week and absolutely loved it.  I'm going to miss her and all the cute kids!

This doesn't really have to do with the graduation but it's some of our latest creations. For Christmas Doug got this book and we've had picking things out to draw.  I think Mabel's was the best.
I also found this owl drawing that Sophia did the other day and absolutely loved it! I just love all her little details.
I also found this picture on my phone that she apparently took one day.

Bike Ridin' and Window Watchin'

This little boy absolutely loves to watch his sisters play outside.  To me, it's the cutest thing to see.  He really loves to watch anything outside. He just loves being at the window.
Mabel likes to join him sometimes too.
Yesterday was such a nice day so we pulled out all the bikes and scooters.  Lewis was feeling pretty left out so we got his push toy so that he could be part of the fun.
He was so happy to be like one of the big kids!
