Haircuts and Jumping!

While I was thinking of things to do during fall break, haircuts were definitely at the top of the list! I have not cut my girls hair since after Mabel was born and it was deinfitely time. Sophia kept telling me she didn't want her hair but because she wanted it to grow as long as Rapunzel's. I hesitated telling her that I made an appointment until the day before. I expected to hear her complain when I told her but she said, "yes, yes, yes!" I asked her why she was so excited to get it cut and she said, "because I want bangs!" I had no idea about that one but at least she was excited. Here they are before we left.See how long and scraggly? It was time. I usualyl cut their hair but I've finally realized they're kind of at an age where they might need to have their hair straight and not cut all crazy. We went to my friends aunt (who I've gone to the past few times) and she was awesome as usual! I seriously think she does the best job! I was so happy with how they turned out.

Here they are after. I was trying to convince Sophia to just to a little swoop of bangs but she insisted she wanted ones like this. On the way home she said, "I don't really like to have hair on my forehead". Sorry sweetie. Those are bangs! Remember how you begged for them? Guess you'll have to just get used to them because they take FOREVER to grow out!

After the cuts we went and got our annual Square Pumpkin meal and then headed to Jumping Jacks. They love that place and so do I because it makes them tired! This was Mabel's first time in one of the toys.

Overall it was a good first day of fall break. Also to add to the fun, we through in flu shots at the doctor this morning. I really know how to party!

What a helpful sister!

On Saturday Doug and I spent the morning working in the yard. When we came in we found this lunch that Sophia had made for Lilly. Apparently she got hungry and didn't bother with her slacker parents (who never do anything for her anyway). Sophia got out the peanut butter and jelly and even cut the sandwich into a pumpkin shape. I love that she got her cheese slices, a straw in her cup and everything! What a good sister! Good thing someone makes up for their poor excuse of parents!

Last week we checked out this book from the library. I totally remember reading it as a kid and I was happy to see that they had it! My girls loved it too! So fun!

For the last fun find, the other day the girls were twirling and dancing around and we noticed Mabel joining in. It was so cute! I love to see her try and twirl!

More Spooky Delights and Slippery Fun!

Just wanted to post a few more of our spooky decorations. Sophia came up with these ones all on her own. I love them! I also saw this idea in a decor book and thought it was pretty cute.Here's some other fun plant signs.LastSunday we had pumpkin waffles (Doug made them on the panini press) and red velvet pancakes with buttermilk syrup (thanks for the idea D&T)! They were delicious! We let the girls make pumpkin faces out of their waffles. They turned out pretty cute I thought!

Last night for FHE we went to a local park that we drove by last week and the kids have been begging to go to ever since.

Oh this sweet child. She's getting new teeth and hasn't been super happy lately. Doesn't she look like she needs a hug?

She also had a fun time climbing up the stairs and going down the slides by herself. Such a fun age. Ready, go!

We then came home for a yummy oven smores FHE treat.
