I'm so glad when cousins come to town!

Glad as I can be! We were so lucky to have cousins come into town last week. We did so many fun things together but unfortunately Iwas not so good at bringing the camera along. I knew my amazing sister would document everything and she did not dissapoint. Some of the pictures are from her blog. Feel free to check her blog to see more of the fun. Here's the cute girls playing in the fountain at the temple.
Yikes! Here they are at the animal museum (Bean Life - Bruce kept looking for the beans). We also went to the aquarium in Salt Lake and had a fabulous time there!

Here's the crew before the big sendoff back to NY. Thanks again for coming sista! It was so fun to see you again and I'm glad we got to spend time together again!. Sophia still asks everyday to go to grandma's a feed the goats with Jane and Bruce. She prayed the other night for all her cousins, buddy and blacky (the goats) and her aunt Liza that she loves. My sister has the cutes kids in the world! Each one is a crack up and is adorable. Her kids help me know that it is possible that my blue eyed blonde really is mine.
We love you Jane! Sophia can't wait to play with you again and really wants to come to your house sometime!Aside from all the cousin fun, we spent some of Doug's free time last week landscaping our front yard. We put in some edging to seperate the grass and plant beds that line the front walk. I think it turned out pretty good.
Our awesome friends also let us have some of their fieldstone. We put this little pathway in front of where we park. We also planted a lilac tree, rose of sharon, and some bulbs behind it. I can't wait till it all blooms!
Lilly helped by making sure the concrete steps were hard enough. I was glad I was not home when the spill took place. She also got a nice shiner on her cheek by crashing into the stroller wheel.
We're looking to a fun weekend full of turkey hunting (Doug) and Wicked! (me). We're also heading to Vegas for the first part of next week so I'll be sure to post some of our fun from there!

P.S. I went and saw an allergist today because I've been dy-ing lately with all that's in the air. I'm currently taking 3 allergy medications including a nasal spray and am still dying. They did the back test and when the tech came into check on me he said "well, I'd ask you how you're feeling but I think I can tell by just looking at your back. You may be the first one this season to react to just about everything we tried." The conclusion was that if it grows I'm allergic to it. Needless to say, I've decided to start the allergy shots. I know it's a 3-5 year committment but if it saves me in the long run I think I'll give it a try. I'm getting tired of going through this year after year and I think I'm ready for some real relief. Anyone out there had experience with the allergy shots?

My Favs and Easter

We had such a fabulous Easter. I tried to get some shots of the girls before heading to grandma's for dinner. Before church wasn't so much an option since we all woke up at about 8:30 for 9 am church and so we had to wait for little later. This was the best I could do.

We also were lucky enough to have two egg hunts this year! The first one was at Grandma Ivins at Saturday. It was so fun to be with so much family! (Sorry Sophia's face looks creepy). We also had a hunt at Grandma Miller's on Sunday with the Sandy Millers and New York Cousins (we're soooooooo happy they're here)! Here's a few of my favorites for the shots my amazing friend Stacy. She's the one who builds her own furniture and carves her name into pumpkins. She truly is amazing! Thanks again Stacy. I can't get enough.

A very, very unbirthday!

Being a summer birthday child myself, I always hated that I could never celebrate my birthday at school. With Sophia's birthday being in August I wanted to be able to let her celebrate it at preschool. I had planned on taking a treat to her class on her half birthday (the end of Feb) but I ended up being in the hospital for my appendix so that didn't happen. Instead I took a treat to her class last week. It was so fun to pick her up and see how excited she was and that she got a birthday crown! I love unbirthdays and think I'll celebrate them more often!

Here's the treat we took.
Sophia also got her preschool pictures back last week. I thought they turned out pretty good. Her smile is a little goofy but not to bad. My amazing friend Stacy came over to my house today for some Easter picks. It was so nice to have her come here and to not have to go anywhere. I can't wait to see how they turn out!
