My Great Lion

Sophia had her big Wizard of Oz (or "Lizard of Oz" - although she was confused why there was no lizard) production yesterday and she did such a good job. I was so proud of her! Doug bet me 5 bucks that she wouldn't come out on stage. She definitely was hesitant but in the end I'm $5 richer. Here she is getting ready to go.

This one's a little blurry but here they are doing their lion crawl.
I took this one during the dress rehersal. You can see the big lion in the back. She had this amazingingly gorgeous red hair that was up in curlers at the time. She looked so awesome! I wish I would have gotten a picture of her before the performance.
The cute lions again!

I feel the same way

My co-Activity Days leader shared this with me.

I totally cracked up and it was all to familiar.

Enjoy!

Sometimes painters get hungry...

or so this one just informed me. Good things she's got "artisan" crackers and some water close by. I wouldn't want this cute painter to go hungry.

With all the painting she's been doing she's managed to squeeze in some fun lately. Last week was picture day at preschool. I think she looked pretty cute and I'm hoping that her smile was a little bigger than seen below.
She also got to go to a princess party Saturday. It was such a fun party and she had a blast! The best part was that she got to dress up like a princess. My friend did a lot of fun things for the party. She had the kids paint a castle and make pizzas for lunch. They also go to sword fight with swim noodles on PVC pipe. It was great. (I just showed Sophia this blog post and when she saw this picture she said, "Wow! That's a pretty picture of me!")
Last week we also had a rare daddy sighting. His work had a bowling party Friday and so we went the day before to get some good practice in. We had a great time and it was so nice to spend time with the dad! We're so glad it's almost April!

Keep Wishin'

Disclaimer: This is not an announcement in any way, shape, or form.

I hope that you all had a fabulous St. Patricks! We had a yummy green egg breakfast after a nice walk this morning. Sophia went to preschool today and had a fun green party. When I picked her up she handed me this paper.

I just laughed and laughed. She's been talking about this so much lately and constantly tells me how she misses her little brother. Her teacher told me she asked if her mommy had a baby in her tummy. I informed her that I did not and that it would be that way for awhile. We have all the medical bills we can handle for now thank you. Anyway, I thought it was cute. I hope someday that she will have a brother and I hope that brother comes before any more sisters.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed while I write this but I think it may be safe to say Spring has arrived! The girls went out and did a little of this yesterday and had a fabulous time.

I think Spring is definitely this little girls season. She was so cute out there yesterday.

This one wasn't too bad herself.

Oh how I love my girls! (Now if only daddy could join us occassionally...less than 1 month to go!)

It's that time again

This is for you Amy T. I told you I would put this stuff on here. This last weekend was another amazing DCWV warehouse sale. I came home with way to much but it was all so cheap and it was such fun stuff! I got this vinyl lettering for $3 and already had a board so I painted it and got it all ready to go. I got a couple other vinyl sayings for about $2 each!

I also got these frames for $1 they had some cheesy baby saying so I took it out and replaced it with their names. The chip board letters were $0.25 for 3 letters! Lilly's is a little light but other than that I love them! Here's some other shots of some decor I've been doing lately. I found these drapes on clearance at K-mart and I thought they were a great compliment to the valences I created. Sorry the picture is a little blurry. You get the main idea though.
I finally got the vinyl I won from giveaway today. It was from this cute site. If you look at her cute site I got a small topiary, an owl, a few flowers, love birds, a BOO! sign and I think that's it. Here's a few of what I've put up already. This one is above our closet... And this one's in the bathroom.
Here's a few shots of the cuties in my life. I love when these two do this together (end up in their room togther playing or reading books...quietly...). Moments like this are rare in our house and so they must be documented. And when these two do this together. Lazy Sunday afternoons are the best! Finally, Lilly put these on last night to show uncle Jeffy. She was a pretty good sport about it but was not to fond of keeping them on. At one point in the night they fell off and we were all so worried that she wouldn't be able to hear anything the rest of the night. What a silly girl!

Nah-as-tee

Looks like a delicious carrot cake with some weird red icing on top right? Wrong! It's meatloaf cake with whipped potato frosting and some ketchup icing. My brother introduced me to this website thisiswhyyourefat.com. Some of the things are hillariously nasty and I'm trying to think of something completely disgusting to submit. Any ideas?
P.S. I had another fun night at the hospital last night. This time it was for a sleep study because my doctor is trying to rule out sleep apnea. I had a fun time getting hooked up to and then trying to sleep with a million electrodes strapped to my body. I spent today picking sticky stuff off my face and nasty yellow goop out of my hair. I guess it does a great job at helping the electrodes conduct. The results won't be in for a few weeks. I'll keep you posted.

Thanks for the cakes!

This pleasant package of Petite Fours showed up on my door step with a note that read "Bon Voyage Appendix! May your recovery be as beautiful as these cakes" Unfortuntely, there wes no name attached so I don't know who to thank. If the delicious tiny cake sender is out there somewhere, a big THANK YOU from me and my appendix-free tummy!
In other news, we woke up to this this morning. Yuck.
I took the girls out to play after breakfast and my baby screamed the whole time. Not a fan of the cold stuff. Speaking of my cute baby, she discovered this broom the other day and has had a great time sweeping ever since. She constantly moves the kitchen mat around so that she can sweep around it. Such a sweet Cinderlilly.
Here's one more random for today. This morning Sophia wanted to watch a movie and I told her she watches too much TV and that she needed to play first. She asked why she can't watch lots of movies and I told her because it hurts her brain. Her response? "I don't have a brain." My point exactly.

Pictures!

My nice little bro is letting us borrow his camera for the next little while so I finally have some pictures to post! That same cute bro recently returned from Disneyland and brought these cute things for my girls. The little Minnie ears are for Lilly's hair. Aren't they adorable?!

The backpack says "If found, please return this princess to the nearest castle"

Here's a few shots of some projects I've been working on lately. First I decided to make some valances for our windows. I made some like this for the windows in our front room.
Here's some pillows I made for our chaise that I have yet to recover. I decided to make pillows firts and I'll recover the chaise later to match.

I recently got into making hairbows with felt. It's been fun to come up with new creations.

Here's a bonus picture of Sophia. She got all ready for church and getting her dolls dressed up. Immediately after she was finished she informed me that I needed to take a picture so I did.

Hope you're all having a happy Monday!

P.S. Is anyone else in Utah Valley bugged by having to dial 10 digits now when you're calling locally? I forget everytime and I'm pretty sure I'm going to have to make the mistake about 1000 times before I remember. It's a little annoying!
