Moving and nice people!

The past few weeks have been spent doing a lot of this.  My nice dad let me borrow his truck and I took loads over while the kids were at school.  Last Saturday we moved all the furniture and everything else over.  It is nice to be in our new house and we are settling in.  So glad the moving is over but unpacking isn't fun either!!
The night before the move we took a bread and I took the girls to see Cinderella.  We all loved it.  It was so cute and the Frozen short before the movie was adorable.
The next morning we woke up early and started loading things.  After everything was empty I took some pictures to remember the house.  When I went back later to clean it I cried and cried.  Seeing it empty brought back such a flood of emotions and memories.  I was seriously a hot mess and was glad I was alone. I met our buyers today and they seem really nice.  I hope they like it as much as we did!! It was a great little blue house and we will always love and cherish the years we spent there.
Now onto our next adventure!! Here's some shots of the new house.
Our master bathroom didn't have a door so we put a barn door on it.  Doug's parents were nice enough to let us use a door from the Wales house.  It gives it the perfect touch (and privacy!)
A few days after moving in this little guy found red food coloring.  That was great.
Here's a few shots after some decorating.  This is our room.
 Lewis' room
 Sophia's Room
 The front room/entry way

Yesterday we organized the garage so that we can both park in it.  Most things are put away except for the basement. It's a giant disaster.  Lilly and Mabel's room is down there and it's about halfway put together.  I hope I can finish it this week.

Last Friday my kids had no school. We spent the morning working on the house and then went to Thanksgiving Point to the dinosaur museum.  We pretty much had the place to ourselves.  It was great!

After that we went to my brothers house to see my brother-in-law who was in town.  Yesterday we had a lot of nice visitors who brought a lot of nice gifts.  My friend Laurel who is the primary president in our old ward brought the Smile bowl, some soup and cookies for our kids with the sweetest note.  She is genuinely one of the nicest people I've ever met and we'll miss her dearly.  My other friend Stacy who was my Activity Day's partner brought the cute vase and flowers (and she sold me her yellow chair that I love!), Doug's sister Kimber brought us dinner which was so nice to have!! I feel like I've had another baby with this new house and it was nice not to have to cook!!  My sister-in-law and her kids brought us the basket full of a lot of wonderful things like plants, treats, cleaning supplies and the cutest spring dish towels. And then she took our kids for a few hours!!! It was so nice of her and nice to have a little break and get a few things done!
She sent me these cute pictures from the park.  She's the best.
Last night I was giving Lewis and Mabel haircuts.  We decided to be spontaneous and cut Lilly's hair too.  I love it!  Sophia cried and cried that she didn't have long hair anymore.  It was hilarious and pathetic. This isn't the best shot but I think she looks so cute!!

Plays, tea parties and dances

A few weeks ago I took my girls to Pinkalicious at the Scera.  They enjoyed it and it was nice to have a night away with them.
Apparently someone is too old to smile for the camera.
 Love my little dapper Dan.
The girls had a recital a few weeks ago as well.  Sophia was a lost boy and danced to "I Won't Grow Up!"
A few weeks ago I also took my girls to a fairy tea party at the Provo Library.  It was such a cute and fun night.  They loved it!
At the end they had a room full of fairy gardens and they were giving away free books.  It was great.

Here's Lilly at the dance recital.  She danced to "Let's Go Fly a Kite".  The whole show was adorable.  Her director does an incredible job!!
I'll post videos when I get them off of Doug's phone.  The Tron dancers were really cool too!

Catching up

Things have been crazy but are finally slowing down so I can take a minute to catch up.  Valentine's Day was good. Lewis had a giant chocolate truck and we had a yummy dinner.  That day was crazy because we were accepting an offer on a house and things were nuts. It was a good day though.
Here's mr. man with his mustache binky.
And this sweet tootsie wanted to look like she'd been to a salon.
Lilly brought this home from school. Apparently one of the things she loves is her Aunt Melissa.  I love it.
She also comes out of preschool with the greatest stuff. I'm always excited to see what she'll have next.
A few weeks ago I went to a fundraising dinner with my parents and siblings for the school where I went to high school. Doug watched the kiddos and sent me this picture.  I can't get over Lewis' smile.
This group was a  big deal when I was in high school.  They're an a capella group called the Troubadours.  They put an alumni group together and it was so fun to hear them sing again!!
My brother and I at the event.
The next day was Doug's grandma Ivins' birthday.  We all went to her grave to send her balloons to heaven and wish her a happy birthday.  It was a little freezing but we had a great time.
We had a yummy dinner at Doug's parents house after and this guy enjoyed his pudding.
 I sure love him.
