The time has come to give our grass a haircut! We had such a fun time this week getting ready for St. Patty's Day. The girls had fun with the shamrock headband.Lilly seriously wore this all day on Thursday. To the store, the library, anywhere we went. It was hilarious. We also had fun getting our nails ready so that no one would pinch us!On Friday night we were lucky enough to sleep over at Grandma Millers (since Doug was working all night). Grandpa even took the girls to see "The Lorax" in 3D. They were pretty spoiled! On Saturday we woke up to a green breakfast! Yikes! After a fun morning at Grandma's we came home to see that the leprechaun had come to our house while we were gone! He turned our toilet water green! Double yikes! He also made our lunch green!Side note: my kids were begging all day to eat green food. I complied to their requests but of course they didn't eat any of it! They would look at it and then ask for "normal" versions of the food. Crazy girls! (can't say that I blame them though. I would have a hard time eating food that looks radioactive too).

Luck Day!
Sophia could not figure out how the leprechaun kept sneaking in to turn things green and how we kept missing him. She was pretty sure he was hiding in our grass. This is a little random for the post but I got lucky and got this cute tablecloth yesterday. My mom and I went to our quilt class and she showed us this totally cute fabric that is laminated on one side. She showed a saddle bag she made out of it and I thought it would be cute for something like a rain coat. Then I realized it would make the perfect tablecloth because it wipes off! I love it! Anyway after all the morning fun we headed to Spanish Fork for the rock show. One of us green people was not too excited to go.The entrance to the rock show. We've gone for the last 4 years or so which I'm pretty sure makes it an annual tradition. We love it.The girls spun the wheel and we got these awesome bug rocks.Afterward Doug's family came over for a fun green feast. Doug's mom brought a yummy cauliflower soup which doubled perfectly as a "pot of gold".I also made an "Irish" stew. The kids had fun playing in the basement dressing up Kaleen. Later that night we played our fun St. Patricks game (thanks again for the pattern Nancy! We play this every year and love it! This cute little leprechaun showed up too. Here's Sophia dancing a jig during the game.Overall it was a fun and lucky day!

Love all the green! Glad you had such a fun day :)
WHOA!!! As if I didn't feel bad enough that I didn't do many green things with my kids- you totally rock!! I love all the ideas! We had green pancakes and green eggs, but my kids refused to eat the eggs. Love it. Thanks for the great ideas for later! Love the grass too- that was fast!
Wow you guys always stuff your days to the max with fun! Such cute little green girls you have.
