When in Vegas...

Last week Doug had more training in Santa Monica and so we decided to take the whole family along this time.  We stopped in Vegas for night and even though it's kind of a smutty place, the girls had fun seeing some of the hotels.  The Luxor was one of their favorites.
We also walked down to the Bellagio to see the fountains.  That was a lot of fun too.
We stayed in Excalibur and the girls were pretty sure they were princesses since they were sleeping in a castle. They loved it.
Here's the girls in front of New York New York.
We also took a trip to M&M World which the girls loved.

The 3-D movie was their favorite and they haven't stopped talking about it since!
After a trip to the M&M world we went to the Coke Factory and had the Around the World Tray so we could try different sodas from around the world.
Most of the flavor were pretty good but none of us enjoyed the Beverly from Italy.  It was pretty nasty. These faces pretty much sum it up.
Mabel and I decided to stick with the coke float.  I liked her approach with the double straws.
Before leaving Vegas we had a quick lunch at Rainforest Café.  Aside from being totally overpriced ($10 for kids meals?!  Really!?) the girls had a fun time eating there.
After a few days in CA we stopped in Vegas again on the way home.  We stayed north of the strip this time and closer to downtown.
Aside from a pretty sketchy hotel that shared a parking lot with the Viva Las Vegas wedding chapel (and one too many cockroaches) we had a good time.  We visited the Ethel M factory and were happy to see that they had their winter wonderland all set up.  The girls loved walking through the cactus gardens all full of lights!
This was one of my favorites.  I really liked the color.  It was amazing to think of how much work goes in to covering all the cacti too!
Here's what it looks like when you leave the flash on accidentally.  Not quite the same effect.
So beautiful and fun!
The factory also has an M&M store so it was fun to see all the M&M guys on display too.
