Beginning of Summer

Summer is here!! We started things off by heading to the library for the summer reading program.  We're excited about being super heros at our library this summer!
A few days after school started Sophia had her year end musical theater show.  She was one of the citizens of Oz for a few Wicked songs.
She did great and the whole show was so cute.  Here she is with her good friend Caitlyn.
We also got the pool out and this little guy loved every minute.
We had a few new neighborhood friends over and it was great!
We also went up to Thanksgiving Point to see the balloon art of the ancient and modern wonders of the world. This is the Hanging Gardens of Babylon.
I was also crazy enough to do this.
I did it with my brother-in-law and niece.
It was actually really fun and I was so glad I did it!
Afterward I rewarded myself with dark chocolate habenero ice cream from the Red Barn.
That night we watched the cultural celebration for the Payson temple.  It was awesome!! The end was amazing! The next day was the dedication and it was wonderful as well.
We also spent some time at a local splash pad. This little boy could not get enough of the statues.  They were just his size and they sprayed water!!
I loved that he would hug them!
More super hero fun! She's holding a super hero sucker and yes we had just come from swim lessons.
This little boy also loves to color on himself. Not sure he know what paper is yet.
After a lot of waiting it was finally time for this girl to perform on stage! They did a really cute tap routine to a little football song. It was adorable!
We went back to Thanksgiving Point and got to see the Temple of Artemis this time.
Doug was with us so we decided to see the rest of the museum since he'd never been there.  This little guy could not get enough of the dinos!
 And paintbrushes apparently.
Finally we do occasionally take breaks from the computer and TV to play.  This one was cooking up a pretty delicious dinner!
