Birthday Girl, Good Samaritan and a few randoms

Happy Birthday to Lilly! She had a great day that started with waffles and birthday hats.
Later on we had some friends and family over for a fun pony party! It was great.

Close up of her cake. The cake pan actually came from IKEA. It's technically the shape of a Dalahast but it can double as a pony.

We didn't do too much to decorate. Just a few balloons here and there.

Random #1: Happy 5 months to this baby today!

And now for the Good Samaritan portion of the post. We thought Sophia was sleeping tonight but instead she came up dressed like this. She told Doug "I'm one of those guys who helps other guys when they get beat up". You know, the Good Samaritan. It was hillarious. She's a hoot!

Side note about the belt. If her pants have belt loops she has to wear a belt to school. We finally broke down and bought one and she thinks it's the greatest thing ever. She loves any excuse to wear it.

Random #2. Doug and Sophia spent a good deal of time with the Friend magazine during sacrament yesterday. When we got home from church Sophia was so excited to re-create the pop out nativity on the front cover. Apparently Doug promised her that they could and he made good on his promise. I think they did a pretty good job. It's hard to see what it looks like on the friend but I really think they came pretty close. My husband never ceases to amaze me! What a good dad (and husband).

They even added the star that wasn't on the Friend. Doug was pretty proud of that.Finally, if you're just dying to see Lilly blow out her candles, here you go. The best part is the musical candle that came from the Dollar Store. Totally worth the $1.
