Last Monday Doug and I celebrated 10 years of marriage! It was great and hard to believe it's been that long! Doug took the whole week off and it was so nice to just spend time with him! I gave him this candy poster. So romantic for 10 years, I know.
And he gave me these gorgeous flowers.10 years ago! So hard to believe!
Since we knew we'd be kid free (minus Lewis) for a few days we made a plan of the things we wanted to do!
We went to Sophia's program on our actual anniversary which was pretty fun. We celebrated by going to Zupas before the program and Lexie joined us for that. We were pretty lucky! That night my brother took the girls back to his house for a few days. It was so nice of him and so great to be kid free for a little while!!Tuesday morning we had a delicious (haha) breakfast at iHop and then went to BYU to this awesome exhibit. It was amazing!
Then we dropped Lewis off at my brothers and went to the temple. After that we picked Lewis up, went to Trader Joes and City Creek (and ended the night with a yummy dinner at Cheesecake Factory!)
We stopped to see the candy windows at City Creek before the crowds would hit that weekend. They were awesome!
The decor at City Creek was pretty fun too!
The next morning we did more shopping at IKEA and Park City and then headed to Midway to stay at the Zermatt for a night. It was such a fun place to stay! I loved the decor and we kept thinking how much our kids would love it. Isn't it funny how when you're away from your kids all you can do is think about them and how they'd love what you're doing?! We stayed in one of the little Villas and it was so fun. I definitely think we'll go back with the kids sometime.
They had a little mini golf course which we tried our hand at. It was pretty hilarious!
The lobby was pretty cool. My little brother is currently living in Switzerland and over the summer we talked about going to see him for our anniversary. Then we remembered that we have a baby and no money so this was the next best thing!!
It was pretty fun to have this little travel companion as well! He did so great the whole time and it was fun to have him around.
On Thursday we headed back to get our kids and have Thanksgiving with family. The food was delicious and so were the desserts!
On Friday we took the kids to see "Frozen" and set up Christmas a little. Later that afternoon we rode Frontrunner to Salt Lake to see the Temple Square lights turn on. It was so fun to see!
Yesterday we finished putting up Christmas and then Doug and I went to see Dawes play in Park City. They're a new band we just found out about and we really like they're sound so we thought they'd be fun to see. The concert was a lot of fun and the perfect ending to a week long celebration!
The bass guitarist was cracking me up. He was super tall and kept crouching down to play. He also rarely faced the audience. It was pretty funny.
Overall it was such a fun weekend and such a great way to celebrate 10 years! We are definitely spoiled little people and so grateful for family who watched our littles!
