We headed down to Scofield on Memorial Day to go fishing. We had a great time. The girls got some new glasses for the occasiont that they were pretty excited about.
The morning started out pretty cold but once the sun came out it was nice and warm.
Unfortunately the sun also brought out the bugs. They were so bad! Luckily they weren't biting bugs but they were still plenty buggy. Doug and Sophia spent most of the morning like this.
At least the scenery was beautiful and we got to see some pelicans.

The fish weren't biting but we did have some success. Doug caught the brown one at the bottom and was pretty proud of himself for getting the biggest one. We ended up catching a few more before the bugs drove us away.
We also caught a crawdad which was pretty cool. We let it go though.
Overall it was pretty fun and nice to spend time with family!
