NY Trip - Waterfalls, More Cousins and Owls!

Get ready for another picture overload! This is mainly for the benefit of a future blog book so please bear with me.

After a yummy lunch at Panera we went to a fun park by my sister's house that had this gorgeous waterfall. The kids had a fun time playing (and getting muddy) in the water! There was this fun little island that you could walk across to. They thought it was great.

Here's my girls in front of the waterfall. And cute James taking it all in.Cute Karen. This picture is for Doug's mom. I thought she would like a picture of this cute old building. It said "Williamsville Water Mill" on it. (My sister actually lives in Williamsville which is apparently a village within the town of Amherst within the city of Buffalo - or something like that).

The three cutest 3 year olds I've ever seen!

We also headed to another park where they had a pretty big waterfall.

It was so freezing this day! We made the best of it but it was cold! You can see Canada in the background. Sophia on the observation deck.

View from the observation deck.

It was amazing how much snow and ice they still had! The iceberg in the bottom right was actually about 30 feet deep! The big green tower is part of the observation deck we walked out on. The bridge in the back is the bridge to get to the Canadian side. We didn't go because I didn't have a passport and was too cheap to get a passport card that would have allowed for land travel. View from Goat Island. Last time we were here was it was July and we were able to walk out on to this part. This time it was still covered in a few feet of snow. You can barely see the railing poking through.

Here's our group getting ready to say goodbye to the cold!

Here's the famous picture of Tesla they have at the falls. If you've seen "The Prestige" you may know who he is. This is the sign you would see coming from the Canadian side. We walked by it so I had to snap a pic. Kinda lame. I know.

After the falls we went to lunch at this international buffet. They had this totally random horse that we couldn't resist a few pictures with. One of the days we were there Lilly was so exhausted she literally fell asleep at the table while Sophia was doing her homework. It was only about 6 pm but she was so exhausted. Poor kid.

Here's the cousins at their impromptu fancy fairy tea party.
We were so excited to be able to hang out with my brother Stuart and his family for a few days. Unfortunately the feeling was not mutual with his sweet Erin.

Here's Mabel with Stuart and Erin taking a turn at having a fit.

Here's Sophia with sweet Erin. She is totally the most mellow and mild mannered baby. She is also so beautiful! I could not get over her gorgeous eyes! Here Mabes and Erin again. They spent a majority of their time together like this. I'm sure they had some great in-depth conversations.

One of the nights we were there we got to go to their local Library to meet Harry Potter's owls! It was such a fun show. This particular owl was a Spectacle Owl and was a little creepy with those eyes! His name was Dumbledore.
His eyes really weren't that red but they were still spooky!
This one was a beautiful Snowy owl named Hedwig.
That's it for this post! I'm tired! I'll catch up more later!
