Birthday and Wales

A few weeks ago we had a little boy in our house that turned 2!! Where did the time go?!
a
He woke up to presents and cinnamon roll cake.  I think he liked the presents.
He is crazy sometimes but we sure love him!!!
Later that night we went to Wales for the weekend.  It was fun to have cake and ice cream with family!
There was also plenty of 4-wheel riding that went on.
He got a new blanket from grandpa and grandma Wilkins that he loved.
While we were down there Doug and I ran the 5K for Scandinavian Days.
 And saw this beautiful rainbow.
We also went to the parade (which was amazing) and the activities at the park.
We came home from church and this guy came home during sacrament because he was being horrible and hitting his sisters. Who me?

Then it was back to Wales where we watched "Meet the Mormons" and decorated a creation cake.
This totally cracked me up.  Just 2 little old men playing chess.
Lewis could not get enough of his cousin Logan. He thinks he's the coolest.  He was terrified of the 4 wheelers at first and then would only let Logan take him.  Whenever he saw him he would say "ride tar?" over and over.
Random pic - I decorated Lilly's teacher's door for appreciation week.  I think it turned out ok.
and another random one of the birthday boy in his hamster shirt.
 Another cake picture
 And more Logan!
 Decorating the creation cake
It was such a fun weekend!! We had a fun BBQ with everyone on Monday and a big game of kickball.  The whole weekend was great!

Big Rock and Programs

A few Saturdays ago we ventured down to Big Rock Candy Mountain.  There's not much to do there but we still had a great time.  When I was young we'd drive to Arizona at least once a year to see my grandparents.  We'd drive by this occasionally so it brought back some fun memories!!

We also went to the Freemont Indian State Park.  We were lucky enough to have Uncle Jeff come with us!! We needed him to show us the rock art through his camera.

Hiking up to the lemonade springs.
After that we went to Miners Park in Marysvale.  It was pretty cool!
This girl.  I have no words.
 And these girls.  Seriously.
Jeff took these pictures. This girl seriously cracks ,me up.  She was doing an impression of Doug to show that he has "might".
And this boy.  I mean come on.
There was a cool tee pee that we got to go inside of at the state park.

As well as a pit stop.
We stopped for a delicious dinner at Mom's Cafe in Salina and then that night Jeffy watched our kids while he went to Stake Conference.  He's the best!!
Lilly had a year end program called "A Rumpus in the Rainforest".  She was a cool cool cat (she's in the navy shirt in the middle). It was pretty great!
Sophia's class also put on a melodrama called "Double Tied at the Tracks."  It was hilarious and they did a very cute job.  She was one of the sign holders.
Good job Sophia and Lilly!! It's hard to believe the school year is over!! Lilly cried and cried on the last day.  That girl loves school!!

Mother's Day and Such

For a few weeks things were really rainy around here.  We loved the rain but it made it hard to go outside to play! Doug decided to back the cars out of the garage and let the kids play in there.  They loved it.
 Need a push Mabel?
Mother's Day was pretty great this year.  I was pretty spoiled by my cute kids.
 And Doug.
I wanted a picture of me with each kids and some of them obliged more than others.
Lewis was napping at the time so we had to get a girls only picture!
But then we woke up and we got one with him.
And Doug wore this shirt in honor of mothers everywhere.
And then here's a few more random pictures.  Flying kites in the wind (when it took a break from raining)
And this cute boy. We sure love him
even though he can be a little odd at times!
