Bless-ed

We blessed sweet Mabel today. It went so well and we were blessed to have so many family and friends there. I'll post more pictures later but for now, I'm headed to bed. I'm tired!

Until then, you can see some pictures my brother took on his blog
Overall, I think Mabel was pretty pleased with how the day turned out.

Picture Time!

I got the girls pictures taken today. With Mabel's blessing, Sophia turning 5, and cute matching dresses from Grandma (for a Wilkins family picture tomorrow) I thought it was a good time to get a shot of everyone. Aside from waiting for our scheduled appointment time for over an hour (thank you Tar-geh - Lilly's hair really did look cute but after chasing her around the store for an hour it kind of died.) I think they turned out pretty cute though. Worth the wait I guess! Sorry I posted so many. I just couldn't decide!

Bubs' Birthday!

While my brother and his family were in town last week they celebrated one of their daughters 4th birthdays. We were so lucky to be able to go and be part of the fun! She had a Minnie Mouse party and the girls loved it! The Minnie Mouse pinata was probably Sophia's favorite part. The birthday girl complete with her birthday balloon crown.

My brother Derik and his little Emmers. This girl doesn't look much like her other sisters but it's obvious she belongs to her daddy!

The princess cake. The store where they got the cake sent them home with 2 sets of princesses. Lilly was lucky enough to come away with one of them and has not stopped playing with them all week. Thanks again!

Everyone had fun playing party games including Pin the Tail on the Donkey,

Musical Chairs

and Duck, Duck Goose.

It was great. Here's Lilly with the birthday girl. This is further proof that she really is related to our family.

Present time! Like us, Derik also has 3 beautiful girls. Each of his girls are about a year older than each of ours. It was so fun to watch them together and see how similar they are to each other. This picture cracked us up. Elyse is on the right and she's the oldest in her family. We love that her and Sophia are both biting their fingers/chewing on their hair nervously as they hover and "observe" the present opening process. They were both trying very hard to not intervene too much. Definitely an older sister thing. Made me laugh.

And now it's time for everyone's favorite party game "Where's Mabel?"

Oh there she is! Obviously she is so very loved! Sophia did a great job setting up this bed for her and letting her play with her purple pony (which she got when the birthday girl's awesome mom Kim took the girls to the farm at Thanksgiving Point. - Thanks again Kim! You're the best!!!!!)

Fun things

Just wanted to post quick about a few fun things I found out about recently. My brother and family were in town last week and he was telling me about my older brother's friend who recently started a business selling modern dollhouses. Their company is called Brinca Dada and they make some pretty incredible products like the house seen below. The best part is that they're made of green materials and their working on installing solar panels to run the LED lights inside. I love it. Anyway, check out their site. It's pretty amazing.
Also I recently discovered a fun recipe for homemade graham crackers. They were pretty good too. They made for some delicious smores. I used the recipe I found here and can't wait to try a few of the gourmet smore recipes!
