Swim Lessons and Father's Day

The girls recently finished swim lessons and did great! We did lessons in my friends mom's backyard this year and I was so glad we did.  They came so far! Sophia really grew and learned a lot.
So did this little one.  She usually screamed bloody murder and was terrified about putting her face in the water but did great at the end.
Lilly did great as well and was a little fish from day one.
And this little one had fun watching and enjoyed sometime (and some cheesy faces) in his "swims" (swimming suit) after.
For Father's Day I took the kids to a ceramic studio in Spanish Fork. They all got to pick something to paint for Doug and did great! It was a lot of fun.  Mabel painted a mermaid frame,
 Lewis did a dump truck,
Lilly painted a soccer ball box red with "Dad!" written in black on it
and Sophia painted peanut butter cups on a plate.
We also make a mug for Grandpa Wilkins with thumbprints on it.
I think they turned out pretty good!! I painted him some little owls too.
I hope he had a good day.  We fed him breakfast in bed, made him cookies as big as his face and then went to both of our parents house.  It was a pretty good time!

Beginning of Summer

Summer is here!! We started things off by heading to the library for the summer reading program.  We're excited about being super heros at our library this summer!
A few days after school started Sophia had her year end musical theater show.  She was one of the citizens of Oz for a few Wicked songs.
She did great and the whole show was so cute.  Here she is with her good friend Caitlyn.
We also got the pool out and this little guy loved every minute.
We had a few new neighborhood friends over and it was great!
We also went up to Thanksgiving Point to see the balloon art of the ancient and modern wonders of the world. This is the Hanging Gardens of Babylon.
I was also crazy enough to do this.
I did it with my brother-in-law and niece.
It was actually really fun and I was so glad I did it!
Afterward I rewarded myself with dark chocolate habenero ice cream from the Red Barn.
That night we watched the cultural celebration for the Payson temple.  It was awesome!! The end was amazing! The next day was the dedication and it was wonderful as well.
We also spent some time at a local splash pad. This little boy could not get enough of the statues.  They were just his size and they sprayed water!!
I loved that he would hug them!
More super hero fun! She's holding a super hero sucker and yes we had just come from swim lessons.
This little boy also loves to color on himself. Not sure he know what paper is yet.
After a lot of waiting it was finally time for this girl to perform on stage! They did a really cute tap routine to a little football song. It was adorable!
We went back to Thanksgiving Point and got to see the Temple of Artemis this time.
Doug was with us so we decided to see the rest of the museum since he'd never been there.  This little guy could not get enough of the dinos!
 And paintbrushes apparently.
Finally we do occasionally take breaks from the computer and TV to play.  This one was cooking up a pretty delicious dinner!

End of School/Summer Starts!

We've been out of school for a few weeks now.  The last day was pretty hard for this little girl. She LOVES school and was sad it was ending.  She got some pictures with a few of her BFF's though.
This girl also got to have one final playdate with her friends.  She was sad to say goodbye to them especially since we'll be at a new school next year.
On the last day of school we had my family over for dinner because my brother Stuart was visiting from Japan.  It was such a nice day and we enjoyed the time outside.
These girls are blessed with some pretty great uncles!
They were a little tuckered out by the end of the day though...
Sophia was in charge of setting the table for dinner a few weeks ago.  I think she went a little above and beyond.
The girls also had fun making an epic fort with Doug.
It had a room for each of them!
This girl also got a haircut for summer. I think it turned out pretty cute and she's been enjoying the shorter length!
A few weeks ago Doug and I went with my brother and sister-in-law to the Weepies.  They are one of my favorite bands.  The show was so good and I'm so glad we went!!
My little brother and his wife were nice enough to watch our kids.  I kept getting fun Snapchats like this all night.  They're the best!!
