It's a

Mabel!
Mabel Wilkins
Born: July 6, 2010 at 6:57 am (via c-section - went really well!)
Weight and Height: 7 lbs 8 oz and 18 1/2 inches.

Doug and I were both relieved to hear that it was a girl (not that we don't like boys). We feel comfortable with girls (it's what we know) and we're glad that we don't have to get a new wardrobe! We came home from the hospital today and we're all doing really well! I'll post more photos and details later. For now here's one of the proud sisters. Sophia can't get enough of her and wants to hold her constantly. Lilly is content with only touching Navel. Whenever Sophia asks if she can hold her it's always followed up with "can I touch her?" by Lilly.
We're very happy to have her in our home and we think she's a pretty good blend of our other girls. I think Sophia still wins for having the most hair when she was born but Mabel has quite a bit too. If you're dying to see more pictures of the new cutie (they're really cute) go to www.bellababyphotography.com and click on View Photos. Then type in 0706mabelwilkins to see more.

Balloons and Bonus

Thought I'd do one more post quick while I still have some energy and before my life is turned upside down tomorrow (I just talked to the hospital and I have to be there at 5:15 am!). Since it was my last day to sleep in and since we decided we needed practice waking up at 5 in the morning, we decided to head to the balloons this morning! It was actually really fun and I'm glad we went! The girls loved it too. Definitely one of my favorite celebrations of the 4th in Provo!
Despite the look on her face she really did have fun. She just doesn't like to be interrupted while she's eating a donut.

This one was Lilly's favorite.
This one was Sophia's favorite (and mine too - Lilly calls it root beer. I've trained her well because I definitely would never drink Coke (especially when I'm pregnant). Only root beer).
Now for the random part of the post. Sophia drew this picutres in church yesterday. This one is of the Godhead. Last month in Primary we sang a song about the Holy Ghost and our awesome chorister used pictures of the Holy Ghost outlined in dashes. I love how she copied her! Seriously though, most things that she does she's picked up from the chorister. You should all be jealous that you don't have her to teach your children fun things (you're the best Stacy!)
The one above is of Baby Jesus. I seriously can't get enough of her drawings. I forgot to scan it in but Lilly also had fun coloring yesterday and drew a lot of C's (they looked pretty good despite being backward). She was sure proud of herself everytime she would draw one. She's getting too big!

Happy 4th Celebrations!

We want you to have a good 4th!

And if you're in the Provo area this weekend stop by my dad's booth (he's running for the House in District 64) at the Freedom Festival celebrations and you can get your picture taken with Uncle Sam too.
We dropped by last night and the girls had a blast looking around and playing on the blow up toys. They also liked this teepee at one Boy Scout booth.
Hope you all have a fun and safe weekend!

The Many Faces of Lilly and Sophia

After a few "fun" weeks in church of trying to keep our kids entertained we decided it was time to come up with some new things to bring to church. One thing we did was make an "expressions" book. I took pictures of the girls making different expressions on their faces. We put the pictures in a book and they've had fun with it

Happy:
Sad:

Angry:
Tired:
Confused:
Scared:
Funny:
If I had more time I would have taken better pictures (and maybe actually fixed their hair) but we were in a hurry and it was the best I could do.
Another thing we did was made a dry erase activity book after the one found here. This has truly been a favorite as well! It pretty much keeps Lilly entertiained for the majority of sacrament meeting which is really nice!
