November School Things

November was a busy time at school too!! Sophia had the Wax Museum and went as Annie Oakley.  She did great.  I was really impressed with all the kids.  They all did an amazing job!
Doug took a couple weeks off in November and we were able to get a few projects done around the house. One of them was hanging up some of the kids artwork.  I'm pleased with how it turned out.
Lilly had a science project at school and showed how to make a cloud.  It was pretty great.
She was also a little mouse in the Nutcracker.  The whole production was amazing and she was fun to watch.
I finished another Christmas countdown which I think brings our total count of them to 10.  I think I have a problem. Good thing my kids love them!
I had a very hard day one day and everything seemed to keep breaking or needed to be paid for.  The last straw was that I lost the diamond from my wedding ring.  I still haven't found it and I'm still very sad about it.
Just before Thanksgiving Mabel had her Thanksgiving feast at school.  It was adorable and fun to help out with.  Her whole class had Indian names.  She was Shining Star.
November also brought some amazing sunsets.  These pictures do not do it just.  The sky was amazing the night I took these.

Random Novemberness

After all the fun Halloween activities it was fun to welcome in the rest of fall and Thanksgiving.
These pictures are very random but sum up the beginning of November.  I finally made the cushions to go on the bench Doug built.  My awesome friend gave me the pillows which were a huge blessing and matched perfectly!
These 2 also got into some makeup and made themselves clowns...
And then it finally snowed!! We made some snowmen
and enjoyed some time by the fireplace.  I absolutely LOVE having a fireplace!!
This boy cannot get enough of the snow.  He is anxious to get his Elmo boots and purple gloves on to go play in it!
Mabel brought home a turkey feather to decorate.  Here's her class' turkey with all the feathers.  Hers is the 4th one up from the bottom on the left.
Her class also celebrated veterans day and got to have some real veterans come and talk to her class.  They also made their own version of a veteran.  Her's cracked me up.
This boy goes a mile a minute and is a master mess maker.  Painting is no different!
One of the Saturdays in November Doug took the girls to Disney on Ice.  They had a great time and Lewis and I enjoyed some quiet time together.
A beautiful picture by Mabel on the Boogie Board. The only downside to these awesome boards is that you can't save the pictures so we have to take a picture!
And then it snowed some more and this boy was just as thrilled as the first time.  I hope Santa puts some blue snow clothes under the tree for him.
This girl wanted to go to school like this one day.  I told her no so she asked if I'd take a picture and send it to her teacher instead.
She has suddenly blossomed and is loving kindergarten. I love seeing her writing that is starting to pop up everywhere.  This is Doug and Joanna.
Another day in November some friends and I got together to make these fun signs.  I love how they turned out!

Halloween 2015!!!

A few nights before Halloween I went with this cute girl to the Addams Family at the Hale Theater.  I actually thought it was well done and pretty funny.  A lot of it went over Sophia's head but I laughed mine off!
Before it started Fester played the saw and Lurch played the organ for a little while. It was really good!
On Friday the girls got to wear their costumes to school and were so excited about it!! I came downstairs to see them like this.  I love it!
The nerd all ready for school.  I think she came pretty close to the picture she drew!
 The cowgirl
 And the frog.
This little one was a Samurai and finally got to wear the kimono by brother sent him when he was born.  He was the most excited about his swords and hasn't let them out of his sight since.
I don't know why but I can never get a clear picture of my kids at the Halloween parade at school.  So here's a blurry frog,
 cowgirl,
 and nerd.
I helped in Lilly's class party and took advantage of the opportunity to dress up!!
After all the fun stuff at school we went to Doug's work party.  He went as Tom Brady's courtroom sketch.  He did it all himself and did I pretty great job if I saw so myself!!
I went as the artist too.  We got a pretty good response!
Lewis was pretty sure this is the best holiday ever and loved the chance to get more candy!
Yesterday was the actual holiday.  We spent the morning doing regular Saturday stuff and then Sophia set up a face painting stand.  She's pretty great!
Later that night we had a few spooky pizzas before heading out to trick or treat.
This little girl made it a few houses before she was too afraid of dogs that she saw.  I was grateful for her company while we handed out candy.  She sure knows how to make me laugh at least!!
I think Halloween was good to this girl.  Judging by this picture anyway.
